I have been a long time client here at Abel. I'm talking 5 plus years. I have brought all of my dogs here. Ranging from wiener dogs to pit bulls. My last pup I had was a pit cane corso mix. We learned that he was super sick and tragically we ended up having to put him down. Sweetest boy ever, Everyone loved him. Shortly after him I got a frenchie. This girl has so many issues, that we are at the vet every other week trying to figure out what's going on with her. My girl loves everyone at Abel. About 5 months ago, my husband decided he was finally ready for a new dog, he needed a new companion. We decided on a pure bred cane corso. When I told dr biam about our new pup, she warned me that cane corsos were vicious, fierce, and MURDERERS. Had I heard of the story of the woman who was killed by her cane corso? No, I hadn't. But thank you for your opinion. I truly believe it's all how dogs are raised. Just like every other breed of dog. What about pit bulls, German shepherds, Akita's, the list could go on and on. So when we brought our new boy home, I started out at Stonelake animal hospital. Super nice people, nothing wrong with them. Welcomed us with loving arms. But taking 2 dogs to 2 different vets became a lot. And this big boy gets car sick. So I decided to try bringing Loki to Abel. I received a call from dr biam today reminding me how dangerous this breed of dog is. Her opinion is so way out there and so out of touch with reality, it's just hurtful. The day I brought Loki in she wasn't even in the office. A different dr saw him that day. Everyone on the staff loved him. Again, we found a super sweet boy! So at the end of our conversation, I flat about asked her "ok so are you saying Loki can not be a patient there?" And she said yes. But that she hopes this doesn't tarnish our relationship and that she hopes Kali will still continue to see them. Are you serious? After all the hurtful and negative things you've said about my dog, that you haven't even met yet, your telling me that you hope I still continue to spend my money at your practice on my other dog? Your a joke. She said that's she's afraid for her safety and for her staffs safety. Did you even ask your staff how the visit went? If you would have, they would have told you that Loki smiled, slobbered, and wagged his little nuby tail for everyone! Charlie was sitting on the ground with him just loving on him and getting all the slobbery kisses. Loki is only 6 months old and a growing boy. I understand he's going to grow way past 140 lbs, but that doesn't mean he's dangerous. There are so many other breeds out there that have way worse reputations than a cane corso. And then to pass judgment on him and you haven't even met him. Maybe he could help change your option. He is the happiest pup I have ever met. So eager to learn, to obey, to love. He has been such a blessing to our family. I am truly going to miss the staff. Cynthia is the best, so is Jennifer and Charlie. But I can not continue to support a business with one of my dogs when they won't even give my other dog a chance. If anyone has a number that I can report this to, maybe the bbb, let me know. Or some vet medical board. Any attorneys out there that want to help? This is just not ok. Tell all your friends and everyone you know. I feel awful for the wonderful people who work for this witch. I mean isn't this your job? To help animals? I'm sure there's plenty of employees out there that have been scratched and attacked by cats. Or bitten by a pit bull. German shepherds are never friendly. Or how about the dogs I've seen you bringing in with a muzzle. But you won't give our boy a chance. I'll be posting this review on every site possible.

Dr. Evans has been our pets veterinarian for a little bit over 1 year. But in that short timeframe he has really demonstrated his love for animals and his genuine best interests in their quality of life. We had our 6 year old Rat Terrier Mix Tigy diagnosed with Insulinoma, a very rare and agressive cancer earlier this year. Dr. Evans and his team did everything they could to help her feel comfortable, reduce her episodes of increased insulin production. It was an intense situation but he maintained a calm and collected manner. He made every effort to find the root cause of this cancer and placed her on the medications necessary to stabilize her.In the end we knew we only had one more chance and Dr. Evans was honest and caring when saying we needed to proceed with considering euthanization. He gave us the privacy and respect we needed when that time came. Dr. Evans genuinely cared for Tigy and our family. His connection with Tigy and ourselves will forever be engraved in my heart, and mind. I think Tigy truly appreciate him acknowledging that her body just couldn't go thru much more pain and suffering and she respected him for that decision.Dr. Evans is an honest, genuine, and overall outstanding professional in his field. For all I have stated above, he has earned this nomination and recognition.

We credit Dr. Byam's early intervention for our Bullmastiff, Bo, who lived a very spunky, happy 12 years. Her dedication to Bo and our family's love for him, meant the world to us. We have fond memories of Bo bouncing into her office just waiting for a technician to lead him to yet another treat. Dr. Byam's treatment plan gave us all good years with Bo. Many thanks to her entire clinic!
